Shaynna loved the style of the furniture chosen and the colour palette of the room – “very sophisticated” she said.
Han and Can won over the judges with their choices of colour palettes for their kids bedrooms. They created a softly toned nursery for their first kids room (using British Paints Flower Bud and Dreamy White), which featured a 3D backlit cloud feature wall, an architectural detail that Darren Palmer said he loved. Judge Marty Fox said he thought the room would really impress potential buyers and be a highlight of any marketing campaign.
The girls went against the trend of the other teams, opting not to carpet the rooms, instead choosing oak parquetry flooring softened with some subtle rugs.
The second room, designed for a teenager, also had a built-in arched wall to fit in a queen-sized bed, and encased a custom-made fabric bedhead in a luxe velvet. The fluted walls were painted in British Paints Blue Daze, a soft, yet unexpected blue.
