“It looks gorgeous; it’s got a lot of amenity,” said Darren Palmer about the outdoor kitchen.
A huge outdoor kitchen was the star of the alfresco space for Britt and Taz, including a barbecue, pizza oven and even a teppanyaki grill
Britt and Taz decided to create an “entertainers paradise”, as Taz called it. Their alfresco design included a huge U-shaped outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and pizza oven together with a teppanyaki plate. The generous stone benchtop also had an eat-in area, complete with bar stools.
“Our outdoor kitchen is bigger than some people’s normal kitchens,” said Taz, with a laugh.
“This is great,” said judge Marty Fox when he first walked onto the space, highlighting all the amenities that Britt and Taz included in the area.
The dining section was designed on a large scale, complementing the adjoining living area’s colour palette, and seating 10. It won lots of praise from Shaynna Blaze, who called it “superb”.
The couple’s shed was divided into two spaces, with a workshop and tools down one end and a bar at the other. The toolshed was a big hit, with practical storage solutions and wall-mounted tools for ease of access.
The bar space was a “speakeasy”-themed wine storage area with recycled wine barrels for tables.
