13mm GIB® Standard plasterboard can be used for interior wall lining but is more commonly recommended for ceiling applications due to its increased thickness compared to 10mm plasterboard. Its allows for increased rigidness resulting in less sagging than in ceiling application. Improvements were made to the product making it lighter (reducing handling effort), stronger (more rigid with less sag) and more flexible (improved maneuverability with less risk of damage and wastage). The strengthened paper means better bedding of screw heads, cleaner cut and snap for a better edge, resulting in a consistent quality surface finish.
