Overview
A fresh new look to your shower base, without the need for a complete overhaul, in just three simple steps with Dulux Renovation Range.
Safety tip: Always wear the appropriate safety equipment (safety glasses, gloves, ear muffs and a mask, for example) and always follow the instructions for the product or equipment.
Steps
Prepare the surface
- Remove all silicone with Selleys Silicone Remover. Next, clean the area with a scouring pad.
- Remove all grease and dirt with Selleys sugar soap.
- Tape any edges and surfaces that you don’t want painted.
Apply Dulux Renovation Range Primer
- Ensure the surface is dry.
- Cut-in using a sash brush around the edges.
- Apply one coat of Dulux® Renovation Range Primer with a microfibre roller – 4mm nap, 100mm wide.
- Allow to dry for at least eight hours.
Apply Dulux Renovation Range Top Coat
- Add all of the additive, found underneath the lid, to the Dulux® Renovation Range Floors topcoat (featured colour: Dulux Vivid White™).
- Stir well using a lifting motion for 2–5 minutes.
- Cut-in using a sash brush around the edges.
- Coat the surface using a 4mm nap, 100mm wide microfibre roller.
- Apply at least two coats, allowing at least eight hours before re-coating.
Keep in mind
- Ensure safety and application directions are followed as per the product labels.
- Return to light use after two days (including running water and foot traffic). General use after seven days (with normal exposure to water, soap, and foot traffic).
