Dealing with messy shoes and mismatched pairs can feel like an everyday battle, but it doesn’t need to be. With some clever storage solutions, everyone can leave home with the right shoes on with minimal fuss.

    These are great as they keep dust off the shoes, and the boxes have ventilation holes to keep shoes fresh. They also work well for special shoes as each pair is kept far away from others and stops them from getting squashed or scratched by others nearby.

    If you or your household have lots and lots of shoes that you need to store, consider a large movable shoe rack that you can wheel around. You can keep it in a spare bedroom or even the garage and it can hold shoes for all members of the family - big ones up top and little ones in easy reach at the bottom.     Shoe baskets

    If you tend to put shoes on and off in a communal area like a hallway or mudroom, storage cubes are a great solution. There are lots of colours to choose from, so each member of the family can have their own cube. This makes shoes easy to find, and, even better, easy to pack away.
