How to make a timber bath caddy

“I love the colour palette,” says Shaynna. “It is a beautiful chocolate/latte/coffee sort of feel along with the incredible dark timber vanity.”
The winning room of the week, the bathroom designed by best friends Robby and Mat was all about the details – a generous shower screen with fluted glass, horizontal towel rails and gunmetal tapware (the hottest trend at the moment).
“It is very well finished,” said Marty Fox on entering the room, admiring Robby and Mat’s high-quality execution.
With a classic and considered vibe (and perhaps a touch of mid-century modern), functionality was still key in House 5, which definitely helped the boys score well, including installing the beautiful dark timber vanity (the focus of the space) at the correct height, which had been a point of contention in other rooms.
Judge Darren Palmer loved the paint colour (British Paints Tokyo Snow) of the room, a creamy white that he described as looking like a “soft foamy latte top”.
The finishing touches included the choice of a slimline free-standing bath and well-chosen indoor plants added to the winning look, as did the spectacular ceiling void and skylight that draws the eye upwards.
“This bathroom has everything we have seen that worked in the other rooms working extremely well altogether,” said Darren Palmer.
Fluted glass is a great choice for a shower screen, it adds a touch of mid-century style and is great for privacy.
