The Micro Alloy (MA) process uses the addition of alloys such as Vanadium to achieve the required strength and ductility required in many applications. This is especially important in relation to New Zealand's demanding seismic structural design requirements is widely recognized by structural engineers that MA manufactured rebar has major advantages over QT product and for this reason many prefer it. Ends are sprayed pink to assist with identification in addition to bar markings.
