The RYOBI Moisture Meter is a great tool for testing the moisture content of building materials, firewood and household walls, ceilings and a variety of surfaces. Use it on plasterboard and aerated concrete to locate leaks, identify room ventilation issues and areas prone to mould growth. Test timber pieces to check they’re dry and less likely to warp before using them for woodwork projects. Confirm firewood is dry and ready to burn by verifying low moisture levels.
The Moisture Meter is easy to use. Select a mode (softwood, hardwood, plasterboard, aerated concrete), then simply place the electrodes/pins on the surface to get a reading.
The LCD display communicates MC% (moisture content percentage), material mode, room temperature and battery power status. Colour-coded LEDs offer quick reference for moisture levels (green for dry, yellow for moist, red for wet).
Use the self-testing cap to quickly calibrate and test the electrodes/pins.
The hold function saves MC% readings, which comes in handy when working in hard-to-reach areas and the LCD display can’t be seen immediately.
