The Makita 18V LXT Brushless 4-Speed Impact Driver DTD173Z sets a new benchmark for performance. With a compact design measuring just 111mm from the rear of the tool to the collet, it accepts all standard 1/4-inch Hex bits and is Makita’s smoothest 18V LXT Impact Driver to date. The DTD173Z offers four speed settings, along with specialized modes for wood fastening, bolt loosening, and two Tek screw fastening modes, providing maximum control for a variety of tasks. These modes are designed to minimise screw thread stripping, screw breakage, and damage to workpieces. Users can easily toggle between modes using the quick mode selector button beneath the collet. Additional features include the main control panel positioned at the rear for better visibility and convenience, as well as an LED ring light behind the collet to illuminate the work area. The DTD173Z also features Makita’s XPT system, enhancing its water and dust resistance, making it ideal for tough jobsite conditions.
