The Makita 18V LXT® Brushless 4-Speed Impact Driver DTD173Z sets new standards. Accepting all common 1/4"" Hex bits in a compact size measruing 111mm from the rear of the tool to the collet, this is Makita's smoothest 18V LXT® Impact Driver yet. The DTD173Z offers users four speeds and also features a wood fastening mode, bolt loosening mode, and two Tek screw fastening modes for maximum control. All modes have been engineered to minimise screw thread stripping, screw breakage and damage to workpieces. These features can be easily programmed in to the Impact Driver and toggled through using the quick mode selector button underneath the collet. Other standout features include the main control panel now being located at the rear of the tool for convenient visibility and usability, and an LED ring light behind the collet for maximum work area illumination. DTD173Z features XPT (Extreme Protection Technology), a system of features that provides enhanced water and dust resistance, enabling operation in harsh jobsite environments.
