  • High gloss
  • Extremely hard wearing
  • One application equals 60 coats of traditional varnish
A two-part, high-build epoxy that provides an extremely durable, high-gloss, glass-like finish. It is extremely tough, hard-wearing, and scratch-resistant. PREPARATION Before you get started: Ensure your surface is dry and free from dust, grease, wax or oil. Ensure the surface is level. How to set up your work area: The surface should be elevated from the work area about 2 inches to allow the coating to drip freely off the sides of the item being coated. Place aluminium, plastic sheeting, wax paper underneath the item being coated to catch drips. Use tape to cover areas that you do not want coated. We recommend sealing the surface with a suitable sealer before applying Glass Finish. APPLICATION *Always refer to the instructions on the feast watson containers and the glass finish usage guide before commencing your project. Do not thin Glass Finish Combine Combine all of Glass Finish RESIN (Part A) into Glass Finish HARDENER (Part B) in a clean container. Note: refer to Glass Finish Usage Guide for advice on how to measure out a smaller amount of Glass Finish to complete a smaller project than that allowed for in kit size. Mix Mix combined Resin and Hardener with the flat stirrer provided until the material is thoroughly blended (refer to mixing instructions in pack). Product will not cure properly or final finish will be soft or sticky if mixing directions are not followed. Pour and Spread As soon as the product is mixed, pour over the surface that is to be coated. Caution: If product is left in a mixing container, it will become hot and set rapidly. Spread evenly with a brush or spreader. Do NOT roll or spray. After pouring you have approximately 25 minutes working time before Glass Finish starts to harden. Degass If bubbles occur after about 5 minutes, they can be easily and effectively broken. Just gently exhale onto them until they disappear. A propane torch is recommended to remove bubbles from a freshly coated surface. Sweep area with the propane torch from 15cm above surface until bubbles disappear. Use a low flame. Do not hold torch in one area for too long. (note: avoid inhaling fumes). Note: it is carbon dioxide not heat which breaks up bubbles. Do not use a heater or a hair dryer. Do not try to remove bubbles after 30 minutes. Tidy up edges with a small brush Cure Leave to dry in a dust-free area for 24 hours For best results room temperature should be at least 23 degrees Looking to Stain? To change the colour of Glass Finish, add up to 2% Feast Watson Prooftint when mixing RESIN and HARDENER (Step 2) MAINTENANCE If required, wipe down surface with a soft damp cloth. If deep scratches occur, light sand surface and reapply one coat of Glass Finish as per application instructions.
