More than just automated lighting, Philips Hue is a smart, customisable lighting solution that makes lighting your home easy and expressive.

Smart lights that connect easily

One of the best things about Philips Hue lights is how easy it is to get them up and running.

Hue lights work by syncing with a Hue Bridge (also included in the Hue starter kit), which basically acts as the link between your phone/tablet and each light. It connects straight to your home Wi-Fi network and can sync up to 50 individual lights without affecting your Wi-Fi speeds.

Once it's connected, simply use the Hue app to automatically find each light and assign it to a room. You can also use your Google Home, Apple HomeKit or Amazon Echo to control your entire Hue set-up.

Best of all, these smart lights are just as easy to install in your home thanks to each globe having a regular Edison screw, Bayonet cap, or GU10 connector.

Use the “Vacation” routine to turn your lights on and off at random intervals so it looks like you're home. Or activate the “Leaving/Coming home” routines to automatically turn your lights off when you head out – and back on when you return.

There are also pre-set scenes like “Savanna Sunset” (an invitingly warm yellow hue) to give each room a specific vibe. Or, with a few ambiance bulbs and their 16 million colour range, you can finetune the colour of each light yourself to truly set the mood.
