Unpack the kit that contains the three-drawer, floor cupboard and sort out all of the panels, rails, feet and hardware. Read the instructions carefully and refer to them regularly as you put the cupboard together. To protect the cupboard as you build it, use the cardboard box the kit came in, as a floor covering.
The silver cam locks are used to join the side panel to the base panel. Insert the six cam locks into the large holes in the base panel. Make sure that the arrows on the cam locks are pointing away from the panel, this way the pins can be inserted into the locks and the cams tightened.
Insert the pints into the pre-drilled holes on the edges of the base panel. Make sure that the laminated, white edge of the base panel is facing outwards and the cam locks are facing down. Place the base panel on top of the pins on the side panel. Tighten the three cam locks, with the pins in them, to secure the two panels.
Insert four silver cam locks into each of the three side rails. Make sure that the arrows are pointing away from the rail. Place the rails on top of the pairs of pins on the side panel, with the cam locks facing outwards. Tighten the cam locks with a screwdriver.
Insert nine pins into the second side panel, then tighten them with the cordless drill. Attach this panel to the cupboard by lining up and inserting the pins with the pre-drilled holes in the rails and the base panel. Carefully turn the cupboard onto its side and tighten the cam locks to secure the second side panel.
While the back of the cupboard is facing upwards, attach the back panel. Make sure the laminated, white side is facing inwards, then place the back of the cupboard in the recess and nail it into place.
Turn the cupboard upside down to attach the feet. Point the angled side of the feet towards the outside of the cupboard to help distribute the weight. Attach the feet to the pre-drilled holes in the base of the cupboard. Use your cordless drill to attach the four feet. Refer to the instructions to find out which screws to use.
After the bases are attached to the cupboard, insert the adjustable parts of the legs into them. The first part clicks into the base and the second part screws into this. Repeat this for all four legs. The feet need to be 145mm high. Do this by setting the set-square to this height and adjusting the legs until they are all the same level.
Turn the cupboard over so that it stands on its feet. There are pre-drilled holes in the side of the cupboard for the drawer runners. If you are unsure where each drawer runner goes, refer to your instructions. Use the cordless drill and fixing screws to attach the runners. Secure the runners to the cupboard with extra screws so the runners can support heavy drawers.
The cupboard comes with two small drawers and a larger one. To make assembling them easy, all of the drawer parts have been pre-drilled. Simply join one side of the drawer to the back using the screws and cordless drill. Then attach the other side of the drawer in the same way.
Once you have joined the two sides of the drawer to the back, attach the base of drawer by sitting it on top of the recess at the bottom of the drawer. Secure the base of the drawer through the pre-drilled holes in the rail using the screws and cordless drill.
You may need to remove the cap over the brackets at the front of the drawer to access the screws. After removing the cap, loosen the screw holding the bracket to the drawer until the bracket comes free. Repeat this for the bracket on the other side of the drawer. Attach these brackets on the back of the front of the drawer. Now line the bracket up with the drawer and slide it back into place. Secure it by tightening the screws on the bracket. Repeat this process for the two other drawers.
Look for the pre-drilled holes at the back of the front panel and back of the back panel. Use the cordless drill to attach the plastic brackets in the appropriate places. Slide the sleeve over the rail, this will cover the screw and the fitting at the front of the drawer. Click the back of the rail into the rear bracket. Then place the front of the rail into the plastic groove in the bracket and slide the sleeve over it. Repeat this process for the other rail.
