How to install matchstick blinds

Installing matchstick blinds is one of the easiest ways to give any room in your home some added privacy and shade. They are an affordable and reliable option that can be secured to your window frame in next to no time. This video shows you everything you need to know to get the job done quickly and simply.

Steps
Measure up your window frame
Measure the size of the window that your blind needs to cover. Matchstick blinds come in ready-made sizes. Choose a size that covers your window frame without too much overhang. Find the centre point on the top of your window frame and mark out the fixing points for the screw-in hooks.
Install the matchstick blind on the window frame
Drill the holes for the hooks’ fixing points and screw them in. Hang the blind on the hooks, with the blind cord hanging on the right hand side. If the cord is left to hang by itself, it could become a choking hazard. So, for increased safety, install a tie-off cleat on the window frame, 1600mm above floor level and tie the cord up to that.
