A traditional shellac-based sealer for timber. Used under wax, oil, or french polishes to seal the timber, and over spirit-based dyes to seal the colour into the wood.

Allows the wood to be sanded to a finer finish before application of the top coat.

Also used to seal Matai and Totara before the application of Briwax Danish Oil or Briwax Teak Oil.
