Lavandula angustifolia also known as English Lavender, is popular for its high quality sweet oils, culinary uses and as a garden plant. It typically forms a compact, low growing bush that is ideal for hedging purposes. In New Zealand it usually begins flowering early December and if dead-headed regularly, many cultivars will repeat flower throughout the summer months.
