Alocasia also known as the "Elephant's Ear'' is a hybrid that has become an ornamental house plant. Its Arrowhead-shaped leaves grow to a length of 20 to 50 cm on long. Their gracious flowers grow at the end of a short stalk but are not conspicuous; often hidden behind the leaf petioles.
