This Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarm is designed to detect dangerous levels of CO gas. It is not suitable as a smoke, fire or combustible gas detector and should not be regarded as a substitute for the proper servicing of fossil fuel burning appliances. This smoke alarm complies with NZ Building Code April 2003 for use in all new and renovated homes, tested to EN14604: 2005 / AC:2008 standard.
