How to decorate a small backyard

Small backyards can be great to entertain in, especially as the weather gets warmer and the days get longer. Check out these great ways to make your outdoors the place to be this party season.

Start simple

Even a few small changes can make your outdoor space so much more appealing. Invest in a small outdoor setting and you’ve got a spot to relax in the sun. A few hanging wall baskets can bring your wall to life, while putting up some screen panels can turn that vacant space into a real feature.

Use light colours & lighting

Channel a coastal vibe and create a space that’s calm and captivating. A light colour palette helps to achieve this, especially when it comes to pavers, pebbles and outdoor furniture.  If you you’re lucky enough to actually live by the beach, why not throw up a hook board for your hats and towels? To keep the vibe going when the sun goes down, some party lights will set the mood perfectly.

Create a garden vibe

There’s nothing like a combination of timber and greenery when it comes to transforming a small backyard or patio. Using modular decking panels is a quick and easy way to create a new deck from the ground up. Add a timber screen panel, plenty of potted greenery and a comfy outdoor sofa and you’ve got the perfect place to relax.
