Want to go on an adventure? Why not make your own tiny town, ready for exploring.

Tools and materials

Cardboard boxes

Coloured paint

Coloured paper

Glue

Newspaper

Paint brush

Paper plate

Scissors

Sharpie

Tape

1. Paint your boxes

Before you start painting, put some newspaper down so you don’t make a mess. Paint the boxes. Choose whatever colours you fancy. Once you’ve finished, set the boxes aside for a couple of minutes to dry.

2. Add some decoration

You’ll need to decorate your town buildings. Get some coloured paper and draw a door. Glue it onto your box. Select another colour for the windows. Draw them, cut them out and glue them onto the box. Your building is finished. You might want to add other features such as columns, draw on bricks or even a doorbell.

3. Make more buildings

Don’t stop there!  Use your boxes and the same process to make lots more buildings of different shapes and sizes. Just like a town.

4. Adventure time

Once you’ve created your tiny town, go on an adventure.
