Discoloured grout can affect the look and feel of your bathroom. Give the space a new lease on life by freshening your grout up with a simple cleaning routine.

Tools and materials

Bucket, filled with hot water

Cloth

Eye protection wear

Grout pen

Rubber gloves

Scrubbing brush

Tile and grout cleaner spray

Ventilation mask

Regular maintenance can make a huge difference to the lifespan of your tiles, reducing the chances of needing to re-grout (a much larger and costly task!).

Wipe the surface

Using a damp cloth, wipe the tiles and grout to remove all moisture and surface dust and dirt.

Hand wiping tiles with cloth.

Spray on the grout cleaner

Put on the ventilation mask, eye protection and rubber gloves. Spray the grout cleaner on the affected areas and let it sit for the time specified on the pack.

Hand spraying tiles with spray bottle.

Scrub the grout

Using a scrubbing brush and a bucket of water, scrub at the grout to remove any dirt. Dip brush into the water to help the scrubbing process.

Hand scrubbing tiles with a brush.

Now for the grout pen

Shake the grout pen before use. Using the grout pen, follow the line of the grout to go over all the grout.
