How to extend your day with work lights

When the sun starts setting or you’re working in a poorly lit area, Arlec work lights can bring the daylight back for a safe and comfortable working environment. You’ll find a wide range of affordable and rechargeable work lights to suit many applications at Bunnings. There’s even a work light that’s perfect when you’re just relaxing.

Why do you need a work light

Work lights are high lumen, industrial lights that are usually fixed to adjustable stands that allow you to direct the light exactly where you need it. Unlike hand held torches, they are generally mains powered, so there’s no risk of the light dimming halfway through the job. And you don’t need to wait until the sun sets to use them. Work lights are handy on an overcast day, or when the sun’s behind you, to help you see exactly what you’re doing.

Work lights for sheds, cupboards and roof spaces

A popular work light is the Arlec handheld work light with a hook you can hang above your work area, such as the bonnet of a car or in a dark cupboard. It’s also the perfect size for lighting small, unlit sheds or if you ever need to poke your head through the manhole into the roof cavity.

LED work lights

When you don’t need to light up the whole room, the Arlec 10W LED work light is a light and easy model that throws a focused light on your project. For even more focus, the Arlec 10W LED clamp work light will attach to the project you’re working on, a shelf or pole above you—or whatever else you can find to clamp it to.

Work lights for relaxing

Work lights are often fixed to a stand with a couple of lamps, like the Arlec 1000W halogen work light (with tripod), which is popular with painters and in workshops. It’s also an excellent way to light up the backyard for an evening barbecue or party. Or if you refuse to end that game of backyard cricket due to poor light.

Rechargeable LED work lights in case of emergencies

While most work lights are mains powered, the Arlec 20W LED rechargeable work light enables you to go off-grid. It’s the perfect light to keep near the first aid kit in case of a power blackout, or in the back of the car in case of emergencies. And it’s a must have for campers and fishers. With its go anywhere capabilities, it’s sure to become one of your most valuable tools.

Energy efficient work lights

The Arlec range of work lights feature integrated LED and halogen bulbs that are brighter, more energy efficient and last longer than the old style of light bulb. Most of our work lights deliver a warm daylight type of light so colours appear more natural to make your task easier, whether it’s working or relaxing with family and friends.
