Two room changing projects with timber

Turn standard lengths of milled timber into one of these spectacular projects.

Bunnings magazine, July 2019

Milled to accurate, standard measurements, they are easy to work with and don’t require much finishing. These two projects use simple timber lengths to great effect: combined with dowel for a handy rack for the hallway and using different widths for a graphic dividing screen for an open-plan space.

Idea 1: Coat rack

Not just a handy rack for your hallway, this coat rack (shown above) can make like a feature piece when you and your guest enter your home.

room divider

Idea 2: Room divider

Unassuming at first glance, dressed timber battens can be the basis for room-changing projects. Try this dividing screen if you have an open-plan space.
