Phillips head bit
Ring Venetian Bronze Video Doorbell
1. Line up the mounting bracket
Before you do anything else, grab the mounting bracket found in the pack. There’s a little level inside too – place this in the slot on the bracket and hold it up to where you’d like your video doorbell to hang. Place in position and make sure the bubble in the level is straight, then mark where the screws will go with your pencil.
2. Drill pilot holes
After you’ve figured out where you want your Ring video doorbell to go, grab your drill, drill bit of the right size, and drill some pilot holes. If you’re drilling into brick like we are, use a masonry bit – and don’t forget to wear ear and eye protection. You’ll also need the plastic anchors included in the kit – these will help your screws stay in place. You may need a hammer to push these in properly – once they’re flush to the bricks or concrete, screw in your screws. If you’re mounting into wood or vinyl, just use the included screws.
3. Place doorbell onto mounting bracket
Once your mounting bracket is securely in place, secure your doorbell onto the bracket – it should just clip over the top, but if not then don’t be afraid to use a little force. Once it’s in place, secure with the smaller security screws.
4. Connect to Wi-Fi
This is the easy bit! Once you’re all installed on the wall, connect to your local Wi-Fi network using the enclosed instructions. Download the free Ring app and create an account to see who’s at your door! You’ll be able to see and speak to guests from your smartphone, tablet or PC.
Now it’s time to test it out! You’ll be amazed at how accessible this technology is. The best bit? You didn’t need a specialist to install it!
