Bunnings community involvement contributions take many forms; coming up with fundraising ideas, in-store fundraising opportunities, direct contributions and hands-on help with projects.
For over five years we’ve worked across New Zealand with local Salvation Army teams to provide fundraising ideas and community development, in the lead-up to Christmas and the annual Red Shield Appeal.
Bunnings partners with local RSA, Lions and Rotary groups annually to refresh memorials and shrines in the lead-up to Anzac Day. Ways to fundraise include the sale of Anzac badges in April and poppies in November.

Fundraising efforts raised over $130,000 for the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. Bunnings contributed a further $100,000 to the Appeal; $50,000 to the Red Cross and $50,000 to support local community development projects in affected areas.
Bunnings stores helped raise more than $730,000 for the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal following the floods. Bunnings committed a further $1 million for community development projects and recovery, and Bunnings team members provided on the ground assistance.
