 Vegies to Sow
Spray with Yates Confidor to control whitefly and aphids on tomatoes and cucurbits. To have continual harvests sow seeds of lettuce or beans every 2 weeks. Sow quick and long maturing varieties of vegies to extend harvest periods.
 November Pruning
Hand prune side shots (or laterals) from tomatoes. Deadhead roses and lightly prune to shape bushes.
 Fertilising in November
Citrus and other fruit trees will perform well on a diet of Bio Gold pellets alternated with Thrive Citrus food. Side dress veggie plants with Natures Way Sheep pellets or Thrive granular All Purpose and water in well.
 November Projects

Control pear and cherry slug with  Yates Success Naturalyte, or dust with wood ash or lime.

Product of the Month

Concentrate Tomato Food

Easy to measure and mix. Fast acting, for feeding garden tomatoes.

Seed of the Month

Radish Gentle Giant

Are extremely popular, as they are easy to germinate and grow in any garden- big or small. Ensure they have plenty of water and fertiliser. Thin after germination and as the crop matures.

Water Saving Tip

Improve soils by mixing in compost. This will help the soil to hold more water. It will also encourage earthworms and allow more nutrients to become available to plants. The addition of Waterwise Water Crystals to the soil will help with moisture holding.
