 Vegies to Sow
Keep plants well watered and well fed. Side dress with Thrive granular All Purpose or Natures Way Sheep pellets. Keep a watch on insect pests.  Control with Natures Way Pyrethrum, Mavrik or Success. Control fungal infections with Yates Champ DP, Greenguard or Bravo.
 February Pruning
Lightly prune roses and deadhead to encourage more flowers.  Remove diseased foliage from ornamentals and spray with Yates Greenguard or Fungus Fighter. Once the harvest of summer stonefruit has finished lightly prune to open the canopy up to more light.
 Fertilising in February
Feed Citrus trees with Thrive granular Citrus Plant Food around the drip line and water in well.  Mulch afterwards to keep the surrounding root area cool.  Continue to feed vegetables with Thrive Flower and Fruit for bountiful harvests.
 February Projects

Continue to have a good spray programme going to combat the summer pests and diseases.  Well-watered and fed plants are more disease resistant and are able to handle water-stress better.

Product of the Month

Weed n Feed

Kills the most common broadleaf weeds in lawns. Easy to apply. Follow instructions carefully.

Seed of the Month

Nasturtium Jewel Mixed

The semi-double flowers bloom in mixed shades of crimson, orange, salmon and rosy-pink.Nasturtiums are almost worth growing just for the fascinating shape and texture of their leaves. Because they’re so smooth and shiny, drops of water bead up on the leaf surface and roll off in fat globules.

 Water Saving Tip

Collect rainwater from garden sheds or garage rooves to use around the garden for watering plants or mixing up fertiliser. Place a large drum or buckets at the base of downpipes to collect the water. Use frequently to lower the chances of mosquitos breeding in the water
