On Saturday the 14th February Bunnings’ network of stores In New Zealand and Australia will host sausage sizzles and will be an official collection point for cash donations to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund. Every cent raised will be donated directly to the Appeal.
Bunnings Team Members across New Zealand and Australia will be on hand to man the barbecues and we would love to see as many people as possible help bushfire victims by buying a sausage or donating money. Even a small donation can make a big difference to the victims of these tragic events.
Funds raised will be used to provide assistance to individuals and communities in towns and suburbs affected by the 2009 Victorian bushfires. An independent panel made up of community leaders will oversee the Appeal Funds operation. Please note: Red Cross will not deduct any costs from public donations to cover Appeal costs. All interest earned on donations will be invested back into the Appeal. Should the funds raised exceed the amount required to meet these needs, any excess funds will be used to assist in future disasters in Victoria.
